Worry

Worrying about anything in life is senseless. Try to think of it like this. It's like your team is in the Super Bowl, but you have to record it because you have to work. Someone who you trust leaks the news that your team won the game, but you have no other details (thank goodness- what fun would that be?). You rush home to watch the game, sit down and turn the game on. You quickly find yourself stressing out play-by-play. You mentally pause to remind yourself, YOUR TEAM WINS THE GAME! You settle in and begin to truly enjoy the "journey", the game as a whole. Sure there will be fumbles and interceptions, unfair penalties, injuries and, chances are, your team will be down by points sometime in the game. But you already know for sure that YOUR TEAM WINS THE GAME! Life is like that. As a Christian, you know for sure is that YOUR TEAM WINS THE GAME. Don't stress out "play-by-play", worrying about finances, safety, loneliness, work, home, death, things people do to you, or anything else.

God wants you to sit back and trust that He already won the game when He sent Jesus. He doesn't want you to just celebrate the victory after the game, He wants you to enjoy the whole thing. Life, not just the afterlife. Remember, Jesus came so that you "might have life, and that [you] might have it more abundantly"! Be blessed!

P.S. You can keep your jokes about my choice of the Browns pic for this analogy. I am very much aware that they haven't been to the Super Bowl (yet!) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
